Hi,

Just been having a wonderful conversation with a lady at Netbanx regarding integration of Google Analytics/Conversion/Goals into their payment confirmaton page.

Apparantly I can't, the reasons given are that it could lead to various security issues.

The other reason that she gave was to imply that most people think Google Analytics are all it is crack up to be!! Which may be true. But I cannot believe that Analytics are that bad?!!??!

Maybe I need to do some more reading!!

The other point she made was in 11 years I was only the second person to inquire about integrating Google Analytics as a measuring solution!!

Am I really that unique!!!! lol

Anyone come across this before?

What work arounds have people used?

The only one I can think of is using the websites order confirmation page, but then they will be/could be some drop offs between there and actually paying.

Which makes for a lot of checking against Netbanx's confirmed sales!!

From NEOVIA Financial plc, owner of the NETBANX service: The NETBANX service processes consumer credit/debit card transactions and as such we have a responsibility to protect the privacy of that data under the card scheme PCI-DSS rules. That means we do not embed any 3rd party analytics into our hosted checkout flows because they could compromise the privacy and security of that information. If a NETBANX customer builds their own checkout pages that access our systems via the APIs then they are responsible for the privacy and security of cardholder information. In that case they can clearly embed any analytics that they wish.

Depends how it works.

If the "thank you" page - the one they see immediately after they place the order - is on your domain, then it's not a big problem. Just put the tracking code there.

However, you should also be able to count the number of people who go from your cart to the checkout.

(By clicking the "checkout" button on the cart page.)

Aside from this info - number of people adding to basket, number of people going to checkout, number of sales - there's not much else worth knowing about a 3rd party checkout process. It's not like you can change the pages you know are weak.
