Hi All,

I have had a look at some of my distributors prices online. I want to buy some products of them but I'm a bit puzzled by the way they put their prices out there.

Example:
Stock level: 184
1 off £325.09
5 off £324.92
20 off £324.58

This is actually not a product (computer components) bought in bulk normally but im looking to buy 20 of these. I dont see how a difference of 0.51 pounds/unit =10.2 pounds of 6491.6 pounds is a discount at all?!
All products have a very narrow price difference on the website. Why do they do that and am I able to negotiate that price. If yes, how do you negotiate that price over phone/e-mail?

I don't know about 'yes' or what the going rates in the market are but, in general terms, I'd email saying 'I'm interested in buying X no but I'm looking for a better price. Can you help?'

A lot though depends on market, competition etc. If that's the going rate, then that's the going rate.
