I need to create PDF files which contain case studies of kitchens i've done, with pictures and text

I have no problems in doing this, as i created them in Publisher, then using Primo PDF, created the PDF.

But, the files were huge! Way to big to be uploaded onto my site as a download.

The reason for this was that the pictures were taken on a digital camera and are 1 or 2 MB each, and with 5-10 per case study, you can see why they were so large!

Is there a way i can do this without the huge resulting file size, or reduced the size of the pics without compromising the quality of them??

Cheers

Absolutely...

A package like Photoshop or even a freebie image manipulation package would let you lower the resolution of the images down to an acceptable level.

Also in your PDF creation tool there would normally be different settings which give different levels of quality vs file size.

Try this I used it a while a go and worked a treat,

"Free PDF Compressor

Compress PDF file and reduce the actual size of PDF document with this completely free PDF Compressor.

Free PDF Compressor removes duplicate PDF objects, optionally takes advantage of new compression features of latest PDF specifications that for many classes of documents compresses 30 - 60% better than what is possible in PDF 1.5.

Free PDF Compressor allows you to shrink PDF file by using Flate or RunLength compression algorithm. With this freeware, you are able to set the compression level to generate PDF files of smallest size.
Another benefit of this freeware utility is that you can decompress or expand any PDF file to its original size for better conversion from PDF to other formats."
