I am looking for someone who can design some kind of courier dispatch operating system that allows a quote to be worked out,entered on to a system that we can see its been collected and delivered then directly invoiced.Basically it will tell us where our trucks and vans are and what they are doing (not gps)

If you want to get a real answer from a developer you will need to be more specific about your requirements. What you have posted above gives a good over view but developers require more in-depth information about what you are planning.

All that aside what you have posted sounds like a reasonably straightforward job. What platforms do you want to support?

It would be good to refine your requirements a little further as I'm not sure whether you're looking for a solution to generate quotes, provide POD's and generate invoices, or whether you are looking for a truck tracking app?

You might want to take a look at a2b-online (Google 'a2b-online') which might provide the solution you are looking for.

I would suggest that an off-the-shelf PAYG app may be cheaper than having a developer create a solution for you, however first steps are nailing down your requirements - I'm more than happy to help guide you in this process (PM me if interested).

Hi Paul,

2 options, as what everyone's already mentioned: off-the-shelf OR bespoke app developed. So best to compare specs, offers, portfolios, etc. Now I know it can be a minefield but I'm sure you won't have a hard time comparing which 1 is the right option for you.
