Need some advice ?

Working on site and have two options for the banner page,

Which do you think will convert best

First with video but the how to steps and calculator just under the fold

or

Without video (Can't find a place unless I put it under the blue price chart) the how to is above the fold and the calculator is just on or below the fold.

both really the same on first glance ...if you made the video the focal point in the centre then this would be good ...i think

I'd say the top one...
When i'm buying a product I like to know that the company understands that everybody who's ordering isn't an expert - and I think a video always helps to give this impression.

I wouldn't worry too much about the fold nowadays (although I'm sure some with still argue against me) - with roller balls, touch pad scrolling, built in laptop scroll buttons etc people don't mind scrolling down any more - and generally just do it by default.

Why don't you use Google Optimiser to try out both and see how it goes?

Me - I'd move the calculator to the top. Move the text under the fold. Nobody is gonna read all that stuff anyway.

A picture tells 1000 words etc etc.
