Need invite Google+

It was opened for a short period this morning but is closed again...

If you are keen to get on to Google+ then just keep trying the page every day you may get lucky.

I was lucky enough to get one of the original invites and I've been using it as much as I use Facebook & Twitter, I think Google have a real winner here, still only limited functionality but they have a sound foundation to build on.

The UI is great and the whole concept and simplicity of circles makes sharing and engaging very easy.

I've written a blog post on the check-in feature compared to Facebook & Foursquare (I'll post the link when I find it)...

Early days yet but a big thumbs up from me.

Have you used the instant upload yet?
Very impressed with that. I set it up to only upload when connected to WiFi so not to use up my mins, and when I got back home after a day with the family, I saw that my photo's were there ready for me to share to the world, or my family, or my friends or a combo. Fantastic :)

Not sure I buy into all this hype from the business perspective... where is the commercial value of it all for your business? If this follows FB, the next thing will be Google+ ads and just like the FB ads - not half as effective in converting to business as Google Adwords! FB has 700m users but it's still not making real money...

You could do the twitter type of marketing i.e. self promoting, offering tips, tricks, insider info etc and try and send traffic to you site from that.

You have sparks to gain taffic from. It shows you blog posts, videos, forums etc relating to the interests you have chosen. But it's far from ready, and I'm hoping that the algo will improve over time and show better results.

And of course you can expect Google+ Pages in the future - http://searchengineland.com/google-pages-coming-for-businesses-83985
