Hi there,

Firstly, just want to say thank you to everyone for a warm welcome to the site and i hope to be able to assist fellow entrepreneurs in setting up their dreams.

I have two ideas that i need constructive and harsh feedback on! I’d much rather someone find the flaws in the business idea than focus on the positives!

1) Social Media Consultant – Companies are producing more and more new products everyday that inevitably need the right marketing and branding to be a success. Typically money was spent in areas of marketing and advertisement through forms of posting adverts on websites, radio stations, through articles and various other streams. These were a success and didn’t ever fail for businesses. However, times are changing rapidly… Companies looking to promote and bring there products to market need to focus on the social media aspect. The rise in social media such as youtube and instagram means many people are religiously following these big stars constantly, effectively immersing themselves in their lifestyles. This means if the youtuber/instagram star were to show off their ‘Latest trainers/watch/clothes’ inevitably this would increase the whole awareness of that brand! Aha! then pennies dropped! This is where i step in, effectively finding businesses the right social media experts to promote their product!

2) Room Escape type business. This market is growing rapidly and has seen growth levels like never before, it is seriously taking off! However the need for a room escape themed business is rapidly decreasing in POPULAR area’s such as London, Manchester, Birmingham etc. However in the smaller towns, there are very few and very limited companies offering the whole room escape theme. I have identified a perfect location and have constructed costing on the setup with is pretty expensive i must admit. However the overall maintenance cost is low and revenue looks pretty constant. The one issue i have is how to refresh the themes and also maintain staff.

Any feedback on both of these would be greatly appreciated!

Ta!

    Ta!

I am not at all sure from your comments that you understand or have experience of working in marketing. It's certainly not true to say that businesses using traditional marketing channels were always successful. Many fail because they don't invest in market research and developing a marketing strategy to help them understand how to reach their target audience and how to promote key benefits associated with their product or service.

Nor is it true to say that companies looking to bring their products to market should use social media.

What experience do you have in marketing?

What sort of clients have you successfully promoted using social influencers?

Although it is true to say that with some FMCGs, with a certain target audience, social media influencers can help to promote a brand This is done as part of a wider marketing strategy.

What contacts and relationships do you have with social media influencers that would make them promote products on behalf of your clients? I am sure you know that many of these influencers are paid large sums to promote a brand or product.
