Hi guys

I am new to all this marketing business. We are a print company who design and print packaging for products but mostly in the food sector. We want to target other sectors like health and beauty such as candles and skincare.
I have gathered a potential list of 110 companies that I could target.

The problem is I dont know how best to target them to let them know who we are and what we do.

I want to come up with some cost effective quirky marketing initiatves. They need to be creative and reflect what it is we do.

Any ideas would be much appreciated??

Also need to send some cost effective direct mail to current customers any ideas what I could send?

Cheers
Laura

We get tonnes of junk mail every day but one that stuck in my mind (good thing), is I received a letter from a local insurance broker (17 years ago) and when I opened the letter it was crumpled up, like someone had screwed it up BEFORE putting it in the envelope!

So I read it and it stated at the bottom of the letter (after the sales pitch), "I have saved you the trouble of screwing this letter up." We have been with the same broker since!

That screwed up letter idea is genius!

What about sending products to the customer similar to their own as demo's? At the end of the day your own product is to put ink onto a customers product. So what best way to do it then send in a tube of skin cream branded with your own company with a spoof tongue in cheek styled label and send it to a potential customer who deals in cosmetics? The label could read something like "Will make your products look ten times younger". Something Quirky like that :)

It would make me laugh and get my attention anyway.

Thanks guys both ideas are great! Think I am going to go for something along the lines of your suggestion Dazrave, packaging a bar of soap in our own design. Love the screwed up letter idea but not sure it would work for our company haha!
