I am planning of starting a virgin coconut oil manufacturing in the Philippines. Philippines is rich in coconut trees and there are only a few manufacturing companies for oil. I need a business partner who'd like to invest on this. This will be a very productive business for sure since vco is expensive for countries that do not carry coconut plants. But it's cheap to make it in the Philippines. Thanks

Hi Sir. Thanks for asking. Our province is an agricultural area and the main crop is coconut trees. There are trucks of coconuts that are being harvest a few times a year and since the people in our province are native, they don't have any equipment in converting coconut into oil. They don't even know how to make oil out of it, so all they do is sell fresh fruits in trucks. Now I see this as a very big potential since if there is an oil plant in our province, there would be no need for farmers to travel far to sell those fruits. even when our country is rich in coconut, most of those people who owns hectares of coconut plantation don't know how to process them that's why there are only few companies who are processing oils. I manually make vco, and in my own estimate, it only take $1 to $2 to make 1 liter of vco, and based on my research 1 liter of vco can sell for $6 and higher. It's even more expensive in export.

I haven't handled a business before so I'm not really good in business calculations, so if I can find a partner who knows more about strategies, it would be perfect. As for the cost, I saw some small oil mill online and they cost as much as $500. So that's quiet a big amount here in the Philippines. I think the cost for setting up a small factory can cost around $1000 overall.
