Hi all,

I recently landed a job in a small retail store with the primary role of web marketing and store management. I have no experience in retail and my background is web marketing. The owner of the business was a good client of mine at my previous job as a web marketing manager.

I got hired to initially look after the website and online promotion. However, I have grown into a role where I am overseeing pretty much every aspect of the business.

We are looking at considerable growth in the near future as well as ecommerce. I am developing the ecommerce site in Magneto and is almost complete. What I am looking for is advice and tips on stock inventory management and pos tools that will integrate with our ecommerce platform to make the business run efficiently.

About the business -
We trade in second hand items. We buy, sell and trade-in entertainment products such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, computers, televisions, games, consoles, DVDs, music equipment, guitars and more.
Very similar to CeX.

About 90percent of our stock is what we buy from the public therefore, there are alot of items that we only have single inventory.

The process of buying an item from a customer, adding it to our stock spreadsheet, adding it to our website, pricing it, sellingg it and removing it manually from the website is no going to work as we get busier and Is not scalable.

Are there any systems thatt will help us without havingg to invest in bespoke and expensive solutions?

I work for a company called Veeqo which offers inventory management and POS, and also works with Magento (as well as Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce and more). It might be worth considering as you're looking for an integrated inventory management/POS tool, with the added benefit of offering multichannel incase you decide to expand onto any other sales platforms :)
