    Hi
    I am looking for a good webhost in the UK for my bead shop, one that allows me to list 1000 item to start with, will upgrade has business grow. I have looked at a few but I read so much scary story. Just host seem too god to be true. 1& 1 HAVE WHAT I WANT BUT STORY OF THEM HOLDING ON TO DOMAIM OR MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO MOVE SCARES ME. I only want to spend £10 a month. Any recommendation is appreciated.

    Hi, for the UK online shop, you can choose Junior package of this guy: ezpzhosting (Sorry as I cannot post a link as new member). The price is about 2.75 GPB per month and disk space + bandwidth are fit with your needs.

    £10 a month realistically isn't enough for a 'good' webhost, those offering smaller or equivlent amounts will be stacking as many clients onto their reseller accounts as possible.

    Talk to whoever it is you are having to develop your ecommerce site as they would be the best people to talk to on what might be required to run the system to begin with, as well as the ongoing costs.

    hosting is a simple case of you get what you pay for, if you are looking to pay less than what you would pay for your landline or broadband or a cheap curry a month than that is what is running your business.

    So it's a case of what you feel comfortable with driving your business.

    Bare in mind that the host is the root of your business, and requires investment as much as any other aspects and also expect it to increase overtime as the business grows.

    I can't believe people can sit there and quote a few quid a month when they blatently can see that it's not a tiny few product site, and likewise with no consideration of what is required to run it.

    Absolute madness.

    Overload your servers much?
