Hi guys

I need a new name for my food-stall,I sell mostly fast fast-food,burgers,hotdogs,pulled pork, steak etc

I would like a name what's a little quirky maybe.

What do you guys think off the name 'E'tup'.?

All help much appreciated
Thanks

It depends on what sort of quality you expect. Personally, I think that the price is perfect, because it means you'll get something professional.

I would recommend 99designs, which is a marketplace where you can create a contest and professional designers from around the world submit designs. It'll be around that price, but you will get tens and tens of concepts, and you can choose to get a refund at any time if you're not satisfied - at least you might get a few ideas.

Most brand and graphic agencies aren't likely to charge more than that amount anyway. Some companies in my area charge £500 for a logo, where the result is actually crap :(

Names like that are likely to stick the most, so you're definitely heading in the right direction! Try and create a mindmap of words you like and combine them. Something will eventually stand out at you :)

Which part of the country/world are you going to be based in?

    Best of luck!

Actually it's not a good name, as difficult to spell and therefore to find on social media.

OP - do some research - what are other similar stallholders at festivals using? Avoid anything too similar.

What is better/different about your food?

Always check to see if anything you choose is available online.

Agree with ethical pr - it's funny spelling will make it hard to find on social media or online generally.

But that might not be an issue if you are attending different festivals etc and aren't expecting much repeat custom. That said some of these stalls can pick up a bit of a cult following if they do exceptional food.

You could always try your e'tup name and see if people understand it at the first couple of festivals. An early rebrand wouldn't cost the earth if it doesn't work.

How about a sign centred on you're stall saying Teds Meat Shack? then put pictures of the food your selling either side of the text?

There is a food stand business in my hometown selling hotdogs (3-4 types max) it's called The Hot Sausage Company. Got turned away Saturday as they'd sold out. Another chap round here sells Jamaican food, business name is reggae kitchen.

    Hope this helps!

    All the best!

With all due respect to @KacperJed that is terrible... absolutely terrible advice with regards to the name...

Yes it sounds OK, but as said previously... the spelling won't work... as a web designer you of all people should have picked up on that with regards to social media...

Perhaps was a bad start to the morning?

With regards to the OP's original question... what on earth is wrong with Teddy Winters? Seriously got a catchy ring to it, is that your real name?

play around with the name Super Teds, Teddy Bear Grillz etc etc ...

    Steak Joint

Sam & Ella's is funny... but would it attract the attention you want?

Personally I've always wanted to open a burger bar myself as I cook a mean 5lb burger... :D

There you go... £5lb Burger... buy a burger, chips and a drink for £5

I'm a bloody genius me... innit!! gerroff my land... that's mine! I'm setting up the webby as we speak... mwuhahahahaha

Teddy Winters is a bit like Tim Hortons. It's a name you can remember, not because it says what it is (like Church's Chicken or Burger King) but because it's a name in its own right (like Tim Hortons, Jimmy John's or Carl's Jr.).

Personally, that idea is as good as any I've heard. Plus it has a story behind it.

I'm sure you could tie in the big burger for big dogs idea and combine the giant burger with the story of your wee pup, who isn't a wee thing at all, I'm sure. People love dog stories. I knew a guy who ran Greyhound Taxis - the name gave a talking point many, many times.

And guns, and gang violence and murder.

Teddy Winters sounds perfect with the right strapline.

Your partner doesn't like it because its the name of your dog - really.....
