NAS question

Hi guys,
We have a QNAP NAS attached to the network to duplicate files on the SBS2k3 server (for backup in case the server goes pop). It's a RAID1 config on the NAS and the backup software is QNAP's Netbak Replicator, which continually monitors and backs up whenever there's a change.

Here's the issue... we want the NAS box to mirror what's on the server, so when a file is deleted from the server, it's deleted from the NAS. However, that currently doesnt happen. Once things are put on the NAS, they're there for good.

How can I get this to do what I want? Should I be going about this in a different way?

You could always stop using the backup software and on the SBS server have a script which uses robocopy to mirror the data drive to the NAS box

It's probably going to be a software decision Paul. Are you sure you don't want to keep the files that are deleted though?

We don't want to keep deleted files, as we're constantly working on files on the server, deleting, renaming, and so on.
