I have just wound up my building company which was ltd status. I used to accept credit cards for completed work and now I have been told that ex-clients could use s75 of the consumer credit act to claim money back. If they did do this through their credit cards, would I have any personal liability? Would the banks come after me to claim their money back?

Thanks in advance.

Did you sign any personal guarantees?

No I didn't.

Why would there be claim backs? Was there faulty work claims or deposits paid but work never completed?

An ex-customer claims that work was incomplete and fault and told me about claiming under s75 CCA.

Is the merchant account in your name or the company’s

The merchant account was in the name of my ltd company
Have you signed a PG?
