multiple paypal accounts.

Im having a problem with paypal at the moment but people do like to use it so I will still be offering this.

I dont think your allowed to have multiple paypal accounts but what do I do I have 2 seperate business and I want 2 seperate paypal account otherwise its going to be a nightmare running everything through 1 account.

I run 4 'businesses' through one paypal account, I just have an email address for each 'business' so I can track the money coming through.

You're right though, you're not allowed more than one paypal account (in their t&c's) but if you have another bank account then you can get around this.

You can have up to 10 email addresses for paypal, so technically 10 businesses. Very risky because if you have a probelm with one business, they all come tumbling down.

If you want multiple PayPal accounts here is the guide:

1. Clear Out Cookies and Browsing History.
2. New Windows User Account.
3. New IP address.
4. New email address.
5. New Bank Account.
6. New Credit Card.
7. New Landline Phone Number.

I can go into more detail if necessary. The most this should cost you is £2 per month for phone forwarding.

Their T&C's might say you're not allowed to have more than one Paypal account but I do and Paypal KNOW I do! They limited both accounts when I had a problem with an eBay buyer! I called them and they told me I could have more than 1 account but I had to provide a load of info for them! I did this and now I run 2 accounts side by side with no problems!

you might not be allowed two accounts, but your business is a new 'you' if a ltd. company...

therefore for every 'individual' be that a physical person or a person corporate (e.g. ltd. co.) then you are entitled to a separate account...
there is no need to have separate ip addresses / separate phone numbers etc. - we run a papyal account for the business, and I have a personal account - no issues with that - my business and I are two distinct individuals. I have had customers logging into their paypal accounts here on our computers - no issues with cookies / IP addresses...

Yes you can have one personal and one business account, but it is safer to run seperate accounts.

There will be an issue should any one those accounts share an IP addresses, cookies or LSO cookies. If one of those customers has their account limited, anything linked to that account will also face restrictions.

So in order to COMPLETELY separate the accounts, you need to take all of those precautions.

I run two Paypal accounts at present, both attached to different trading names and different bank accounts.

Money goes out on, income comes in the other. Business activities are unrelated.

Easier on both myself and the book keeper, so hopefully no problems in future. :)

I had some grief from paypal when they claimed I had 3 accounts, but once I explained that one was my personal account, and each of the others were for seperate Limited companies, each a legal entity in their own right, the person I spoke to lifted the hold on all the accounts and I haven't had any trouble since. I think any one company, or individual can only have 1 account, but if you onw multiple LTDs then each is entitled to its own PP account.
