Hello, Its been a long time since I've been here!

I'm looking for a recommendation for a tool to move my hard disk partition on my Windows 2008 server.

I'm battling for space on my boot partition.

Windows own tools don't do it.

Don't want to spend too much as will only need to do it once.

For that money, you could have bought a separate 2TB drive for more space!

A new drive would be about as much use as a concrete parachute. ;)

I would imagine that @Top Hat has lots of spare storage available, but his Windows partition is getting close to full. That is probably because it's been around for quite a while and the logs and recovery dumps have become over large.
You can recover quite a lot by moving the Windows Pagefile to another drive, deleting unused profiles and reducing some log file sizes, but you need to know what you are doing. More importantly, you need to get a snapshot of the server before you start in order to have a roll back point.

Partition Magic is a more permanent solution, but once again, you should snapshot the server before you start.

Yes, boot partition was running out of space, had become a constant battle of deleting logs etc and seeking out more things to move/delete.

I wish I hadn't had to spend £120 (would of been £100 if it weren't for that stupid Brexit Vote, another £20 the Brexiteers owe me ;))
