New member here, having a bit of a look around.

I'm working full time as a media analyst and have been playing around with the idea of setting up an analysis services company for a couple of years. Still very much at the ideas stage though have joined my local Chamber of Commerce and I'm soaking up all the advice I can at the moment.

Next step will require a little investment and me leaving my job which is a daunting prospect!

Hi. No, nothing at all. My current role involves reporting on media effectiveness from a marketing perspective. My goal is to take that to SMEs so they can see how effective their different streams marketing activity are, and to offer a whole range of analytical services - manufacturing / sales / performance / health & safety stats etc. So no, nothing from my current workplace holding me back.

I agree chaps, and it's something I've given a great deal of thought to. My problem would be how to project a professional image when none of my clients can contact me during the day! I wanted to put together a mailshot to promote the business but if respondents are directed straight to an answerphone message - well, it doesn't create the impression I'd like to give.
