Mobile/Portable Printers

Hi

I visit sites and issue the site owner with a receipt/invoice for commission on vending machine sales.

I'm looking for a portable printer that I can take on site that can print the invoice. It will contain name, address etc - so the printer needs a database from where I can select a customer and populate a template. I will than need to enter figures for the specific visit.

Anyone know if such a printer exists or have any recommendations?

i'm not sure about the database element. But if you are carrying a pc or handheld device that contained the DB info then there is a printer from Brother designed for the sort of situation you are describing. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146488?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products

An alternative would be for you to capture the details of the job on you mobile device using a mobile form. The customer signs for the job using signature capture and you send the form back to the office and then an invoice can be raised and emailed straight to the customer.

How would issue an invoice if you were not on site? Which Software are you using? Sage or similar or have you got something custom-built?

I only need to create an invoice if I am at a site. Emailing is an option for some customer but not all - they want the paper invoice to put through the till straight away.

The bluetooth idea seems the best way to go..

What I have already is a web page which I access using my mobile phone (or maybe ipad in the future) whilst on site and enter sales data.
When I submit the data it's saved to my database and the next page would display the invoice generated from the sales data just submitted and the customer data on the on-line database.

I just then need to print the webpage (with a bit of formatting maybe)
