Mobile Credit Card Machine - HELP!

Hi,

I'm starting a bridal shop selling luxury wedding dresses for less.

I need help on what is the best payments options with regard to credit or debit cards.

I've managed to get a short term lease of 3 months on a studio, to see whether the business will be profitable. So I am looking for a short term option.

I bank with HSBC, but I haven't set up a merchant account with them yet.

Does anyone have any advice on merchant accounts and hire of Chip & pin terminal?

I've left it a little late, so any advice would be appreciated.

HSBC I think usually have a good merchant service from what I have been hearing. As far as i'm aware you will need a separate dedicated telephone line for it though.

A merchant account is the way to go but shop around as some have very high set-up costs. Also fees vary (not much) with each bank.
