Alternatively, I'll give you some advice on the open forum rather than trying to make (what looks like) a quick buck out of someone in a sticky situation.

Don't sign the contracts. Phone them on Monday and simply explain the situation.

Take things no further with them, stop all payments, and make sure you explain the situation CLEARLY. Don't get stressed. This is either a scam or a mistake.

Either way, if the conversation on the phone went as you say it went, and you don't sign any contracts, they've got no way to hold you to it.

Scotland.
If you purchased the phones over the phone then you should be looking at the Distance Selling Regulations and cancelling them under the 7 days as long as the phones are consumer phones and not business ones.

Sometimes the networks won't honour the DSR if it's an upgrade though.

there are few things in business that rile me more than third party sales agents blatently lieing and creating c**p for people. when you find out the name of the agent, let us all know so we can spread the word.
Then ill call them up and offer them a really cheap carpet cleaning deal, one day only mega cheap, dont tell my boss, no im not on commission etc etc..then turn up and screw them for £1000's!
