Mobile Application Payments

Hi

I am developing a mobile application to cater the needs of restaurants in which customers can pre-order the food /take aways and do the payment using the mobile application. I am a bit stuck here. Would anyone help me out to answer my questions.

Whom should I liase with to get the mobile payments done through my application, that is if a customer wants to pay using his debit/credit card after the order ?

Is there a company or vendor who process these payments and who is the most cost effective and reliable in the market ?

Do they charge per transaction and if so what is the charge each merchant has to pay to get the payment cleared ?
