I have probably woken up this morning grumpy but very annoyed at the member who is spamming the e com area can the administrators do something - I visit new posts everybody else's have been messed up because of this I have come in to ecom and the same - I am sure that there are plenty of others who feel the same:mad:

There is more than one moderator, they do have businesses to run along with families!

You can report spam or other bad posts using the "Report" function - this will alert the moderators/administrators.

Hi Both,

I understand your frustration. There is more than one person here who can delete spam. We're not employed though - we do it on a voluntary basis.

So on a Saturday morning - odds are we're either spending time with our families or catching up on work in our respective companies.

I see Tin has deleted the spam from this morning. Do feel free to use the link to report spam - this sends an email to all the mods to alert us that spam needs dealing with. Even is we're not checking the forums, one of us is usually online.

Dan, perhaps it would be worthwhile investigating the benefits of implementing a more stringent security check on registration?

I have seen some spam on the forums, and am unsure if they're being posted by real people or by spam bots. If it's the spam-bots, I'm sure this could be prevented easily by a slight modification to register.php (or the vbulletin derivative).

Do you know if they're real people?
