Merging hosting customers using different control panels

Question for the hosts out there. If you acquire customers from other hosts, and the systems they use are not compatible, is it worth the hassle or will customers just leave if they are faced with a change?

I'm thinking for example about linux based customers, some of whom are on cPanel and some who use SolusVM.

Moving forwards and as you grow and aquire more it is best if you can standardise. Otherwise your support staff can end up supporting a disparate array of CPs, which increases support overhead and cost.

We've not lost customers when we've done it. On the contrary, clients seem to be pleased usually because the CP we move them to is better than what they've had before. And, it's a clear indication that you take your relationship with them seriously.
