Merchant software help

First of all I would like to say hello to all the forum members. I am currently planning to open an electrical wholesalers however I am struggling trying to find the most appropriate software to use. I will need something to manage inventory levels and generate real time financials to illustrate revenues, costs, profits, etc. I imagine the software will also need to manage VAT so I can prepare returns. I will be a small wholesalers in the beginning so I am hesitant to spend a large amount of money on a software as I think I will not need all the bells and whistles in the beginning. Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Look for an online service with monthly payments, then you can try it out without upfront commitment.

What software have you considered so far?

sage could do this I would've thought?

Sage, Kashflow etc.

If you need anything beyond this, then my company could create an 'add-on' that integrates with the likes of Sage very quickly.
