The difference between a successful and failed marketing campaign is whether the target group is reached or not. As you already have a website and products, you know who your customers are. If your customers are mostly elderly people for example, it will be better to reach them by offline advertising such as direct mail. If your customers are young people, you will be more successful if you put time and effort to reach them online and on social media platforms. In the end it's all about playing your cards right, so you get as many sales as possible.

A marketing idea that I would recommend you is to give customers a discount on their first purchase. If you deliver in time and provide good service, you will get return customers.

You can use your website to write relevant content. You can also use it to build an email database.

With a good email database, you can start a good email marketing campaign. Make a newsletter. Provide value.

With a product and a website, you can also maximize social media. It's a good venue to advertise and grow your customer base.

I think that a good idea is to build a email database. I don't recommend that you buy one as you will mostly pay for nothing. The databases that people buy include emails that are not in use. Also, if people have not opted-in, it's a risk that your emails will be flagged as "junk mail". This is negative because it will lead that more and more of your emails will end up in people's "junk mail folder" instead of the "inbox". To build your own database you can add an email opt-in form on your website. People fill in information about their email in exchange for a newsletter or discount.

I hope that this discussion can be active and people add their own inputs. It's interesting to see the different perspectives as it will give you a chance to make an informed decision about what marketing idea is best.

Best of luck!
