Marketing help

Hi all we are a small business trading since 2003 as a photography studio. We use a number of means to market our company but I am looking for a consultant who can look specifically at our web marketing.

I have been told that a good consultant who can redesign our sites, PPC marketing strategy and copywriting will pay for itself?

Well here we are dipping our toe in the water to see what happens and if anyone can help.

We are a small business and things have been very tough so if you only work with very succesful companies generating huge profits that's not us - well not yet anyway!

Ideally ALL marketing should pay for itself, marketeers should give you examples of how they've increased profits (not sales only - you want more money, not more hassle for the same amount of money!).

E.g. we do email marketing for a theatre company and built their list from zero to over 1,000 in six months and this year they cut their advertising expenditure by half because the database allowed them to pre-sell more tickets.

I'd look for specialists who understand your field - it's a service product rather than physical product so you need someone who understands that.
