Most existing business literature talks of the importance of market research when starting a business, but goes into very little detail on how to actually conduct that research.
I've spoken to a number of small business owners and found that people know that they should conduct market research, but would like some guidance on the most appropriate and affordable ways to conduct research for their business.
This is something that I'm looking to address at the moment and i'd love to get some feedback from you guys as to what worked really well for you in terms of market research when starting your business, and what you wish you'd known or could have got some help with.
Did you use online surveys, did you research your competitors etc. Did you pay someone or did you do it all yourself?
Any help would be much appreciated and i'll keep you posted with the progress of my project!
