Manufacturing & Importing Garments from China

Hi, we are commercial fashion students in the UK.
We are trying to find out how much it would cost to manufacture and import garments from China, we would hypothetically be importing 1000 units of dresses/tops.
We know this is quite a long shot but we have been trying to contact manufacturers and have had no luck so far, if anyone knows anything about this kind of thing or has done similar - hypothetically or not, please get in touch,

It very much depends on the pattern, type of fabric used, labour involved etc.

Try Alibaba, there are 1000s of suppliers of every possible kind of garment on there. If you have a pattern and tell them what kind of fabric you want, they should be able to price it (although they may ask you to send them a sample).

Thanks for your advice, we have attempted to contact a few people on Alibaba but we seem to have had very few responses.
The garments would be casual ladies tops and maxi dresses of highstreet quality.
Any examples of make price, duty, freight, quota or packaging & processing, that people have paid in the past would be amazing.

I am currently in the UK and we are a manufacturer in Turkey.
if you send me the detailed sample, then i ll get you the best price for it.
However, one important point is, we have specialized in knitting, not weaving.
