Evening!

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I've got some decent technical certifications but one day I'd like to look at team leadership/management. I'd like to study the theory and perhaps get something minor on my cv to back up the interest. I'm particularly interested in the people side, motivating, managing, conflict resolution etc.

Ideally would like something i can study in my own time, as I'm not currently a manager it's ruled out the adult courses at my local colleges as they want evidence based work. I'm a bit restricted to learning theory.

Any suggestions? Budget isn't massive so Uni courses are out but just curious if there is anything any business owners on here are aware of out there.

best!

You can only gain this experience when your in that environment
In all seriousness have you thought about volunteering locally and leading groups tasks ect

It's a fair comment, I believed there was a lot of underlying theory you could pick up (obviously won't mean you would make a good manager) but to understand people psychology in the work place, conflict management and management styles etc.

I'd give the volunteering idea a serious thought, just time restrictions might scupper as I work full time and seld employed at the weekends (so technically I do run a company as it's ltd, but it's a one man affair!)
