Makro

One of my friends wants me to get a Makro card so he can have one as well. I don't really mind doing this for him and it might be handy to have one as well.

Only problem is our business is totally unrelated and we wont be making any purchases on our company accounts at Makro!

Is this OK? Do we get charged for registering with Makro? Any downsides to doing this as a favour for my friend?

It's free to register and you can use any card to pay, doesn't have to be company related. I think you have to use the card every 6 months to keep it active.

Some of their stuff is good but if your thinking of doing your shopping there you will be disappointed, ASDA and Tesco can do better offers than a cash and carry.

They will leave a paper trail in your name, and any issues that arrise no matter how unlikely will come back on your business.

10kg of onions £2.50 at makro, 3 onions at asda 90p, however Coke is much cheaper at the supermarkets.

It is free, but you need company paper work to open the account.
