Make Money from twitter

Can you make money from your twitter account? I have twitter for my forum where i post my links to the forum. I am building up some followers. I wondered is there any way to make money from twitter account?

I'd be subtle about it, and have something interesting/funny to say in between the adverts.

The internet seems clogged up with plagarised keyword density checked 'content' marketing junk and I reckon you need to try to bring something to the party as well as just the paid links.

I've sold tweets, the are a few ways you can get paid, a simple tweet might get your £2 if you have 2,000 followers but the real money is on ppc as some of the big companies doing campaigns might go to £1 a click or 50p.

Not that I've had any of those yet I think my account has £3.50 in it after 2 months :)

But you can imgain if you had 10-20 followers it would pay.

I would think you would have to have a huge amount of follows who are really interested in what you have to say. Most small businesses do not have large enough followers, and most followers don't actively read tweets from small businesses. I could be very wrong. But that's my experience.

It's never quantity, but always quality!

I have 513 followers on Twitter, and I get new clients reasonably regularly (the latest was last Friday), because I try to be the same on there as I am on UKBF.

But don't forget it's not just who follows you; if your customers are on Twitter, they are followed by other people and may well refer people to you when they see someone needing your service - this has happened to us on three occasions on Twitter - two referrals have proved very profitable.

I am glad to hear that Twitter is working out for you. We have had one customer via Twitter. However, you have a service business, and twitter is acting as a nother method of communication/marketing. From what I understood from the OP, he was trying to make money marketing to his/her twitter followers. I don't think that's going to be easy.

I agree, if they go about it aggressively pushing their stuff all the time. I probably post one promotional tweet a day - the rest of the time I try to be as friendly and as helpful as I am on here (most of the time). :)
