Mailing Preference Service

Can anyone help?

We have a list of addresses for a direct mail campaign but do not know if any of these have registered with the mailing preference service. Does anyone know of the best way to check or the penalty you receive if you do send mail out to someone on that list?

Thanks

There are various cleaning services - marketingfile as mentioned, UKchanges is another.

The MPS is a voluntary exclusion list - therefore there are no legal penalties for not using it (unlike TPS). However, if you are a memeber of the DMA you are expected to use it.

Most lists purchased from a reputable list company will have been MPS screened at point of purchase.
