    Hi there,

when building landing pages for potential clients to signup/subscribe can you split the audience from two difference landing pages/signup forms?

I have my main email address which I have signed upto mailchimp with. However I have two businesses which I need to build landing pages for to collect email addresses. It says the email addresses will be saved in the same location but I need to split them really.

Is there a way I can have two difference audiences? One for each signup form? Mighr be worth me just making a new mail chimp account for the second business?

    Thanks,
    Beav

    Hi Beav,

If you have two businesses/sites then you should have two separate Mailchimp accounts. The people who are signing up on your pages are doing so to receive communications from that particular company, not both. Therefore, you should respect that and not cross-communicate. It could also be a breach of GDPR.

However, if you wanted to test sign-up forms and track the source of sign-up you can tag people with a source ID/name so you can add them to a 'group' and find them within your list.

    Hope that helps.

    Matt

Echoing what @WebshopMechanic said. If there are 2 different businesses, it's better to have 2 different accounts.

Now, if you still want to go ahead with one account, yes, it is possible. There are different options available depending on your setup:

    1. You can simply create 2 Lists/Audiences inside Mailchimp, and connect each audience with the relevant landing page.
    2. If you're on the Free Plan, you are limited to 1 audience. So in that case, you have no choice but to connect both landing pages to the same Audiences. What you can do instead, segment that audiences by tags or groups.

Depending on how you build the landing page, which software you've used, you might have an option, when you connect your landing page to an audience, to also select a tag or a group.

That way , each landing page can have a different group or tag.
