Magento with Iphone / Android App

After years of developing on Magento we have a big meeting tomorrow with a new client who require an Iphone, Android and Ipad app.

Im very familiar with the Magento mobile plugin etc but wanted to know if anyone had actually submitted one using the service Magento offer.

From hours of reading and trawling the web I can't find to many hurdles or horror stories, I would imagine the service offered by Magento for submitting should be reasonable but want to know if anyone has had any problems with this, support issues, long delays in response to questions etc.

Just want to be fully clear on anything that might crop up based on anyone else's experience.

We have since helped this guy get this extension working properly and the end result was pretty good

Good question - we're looking at similar app integration for a drupal site.

I have seen several 'build your own app' type services. Some are shocking, others put out very good looking apps.

Anyone got any idea if any of these DIY type apps can be integrated with online DB for a drupal/Magento site etc?

I guess twitter app is a good example of an app which acceses the same DB as the main site, allowing a user to use one or the other.

Or is this sort of app always built ground up?

We are now working on the Magento iPhone app, it seems very easy so far, we are working on design and layout and will process and submit it through the Magento admin feature which was introduced in version 1.5.

So far so good will update if we come across anything.
