Magento support help

Hoping to get some advice.

We are looking for a magneto support package and hosting for our website, i have had a good look around but looking for recommendations after a bad experience.

Ideally we are looking for a larger company with a 24 hour contact and quick SLA based in the UK

Its primary support but we will also need ongoing design and system changes and updates.

Can anyone pass on some recommendations?

I think the posters above have misunderstood, you're more interested in a host who have Magento support available i.e. someone to ask when you have a question about how to use the backend of Magento and with designers and developers on hand to make updates to the site.

We provide that service for OpenCart, not Magento but you might want to ask someone like @edmondscommerce

No problem. How are you finding Magento out of interest?

We are a small company, but we are UK-based and have plenty of experience with Magento from both a developer and systems point of view. We can support it wherever you want to host. More information on our website (see below).

Whoever you choose to assist you, be careful of generic phrases like "Magento specialist" that don't mean much. It's worth finding a company where the people who pick up the phones or answer emails have a decent grasp of systems concepts, PHP and of course Magento.

Pretty good, slightly buggy but think that's more the developers who worked on / created the site. Seems like a very good solution, my staff prefer it over our old hosted system!

I've used Sonassi for a few years and they're extremely good. Support is the best I have ever experienced.

Hi Ric,

I use a company call Comtecs for all my Magento clients. I have been working with them for about 7 years now. They are UK-based (Tunbridge Wells), quick to respond, technically strong and very reliable. They work with a number of large Magento sites including Hanro and Smart Turnout.

The chap to speak to there is Chris Elwood.
