I'm currently trialling Magento Community Edition along with M2ePro. I'm liking it and I think for a free product it does really good job of managing eBay orders (haven't integrated Amazon account yet).
I would like to know if anyone is using it or has used it and what they think of it? Is/was it useful or waste of time? Thanks

    It is absolutely brilliant.... we have used it with several customers for ebay, amazon and play. In my opinion it is the best Magento solution to full ebay integration. If done properly you can pretty get away from having to login to ebay at all (with some exceptions).

    It does however require a lot of configuration in the early days...but once properly setup, it can sit there ticking away quietly.

    Sorry should add.... the complexity depends on your catalogue size. We are doing a project at the moment for a customer with over 20k products, and as such we have decided to get the M2e Pro guys in to work on it for us, on-site. The guys there did (for example) the Argos integration, which also uses m2e Pro, so you are in good company.

    Thanks for your quick reply and encouraging post.
    I'm a Linux Sys Admin so installation wasn't much of a pain. But yeah its got a steep learning curve which has been made easy by understandinge.com guys. I'm very confident it'll save me a lot of time and would up my productivity.
    It seems like you're an expert so if I'll need any help, I now know who to ask :)

    Howdy,

    @sglobal & @Page I feel like I should take a bow or something, thank you for the kind comments!

    @makeusawebsite
    I've personally used Magento and M2E Pro with over 61,000 products and 2,400 variations on eBay & Amazon, works fine.

    I'm sure you're aware you need decent web hosting or setup to manage that many day to day in Magento.

    And as you've got 20K products I'm guessing you'll want to look at the CLI interface for Magmi, so you can update them more easily and you won't run into timeout messages or problems as it's run from the commandline for updating products.

    Have a fab bank holiday weekend,

    Matt
