Ltd Company Registered Address

Hi

I am after a bit of advice regarding my Ltd Company.

I have been trading for 18 months or so now, and although have considered taking a separate business premises, the advantages of working in an office from home have always been a deciding factor.

We are considering relocating to another area, and have now accepted an offer on our property. We are considering taking a temporary rental property whilst we are looking for the right property to purchase, but am concerned about what we will need to do for the business if we do this.

Am I able to register the business at the temporary rental address? Is there any disadvantages to doing this.

I am loath to take a business office, as there are a few areas we are considering and it makes sense to get settled where we want to live before committing to a long term business arrangement.

I am sure I read somewhere you can have your registered address as your solicitor or accountant. Is this something that is recommended, or are there any drawbacks to doing this?

I would appreciate any advice that can be offered on this.

Thanks

Ian

There's no real harm having it at your accountant's address. At least that way (in theory) all relevant Company post goes there and can be addressed quickly.

You can then have a trading address where all normal correspondence goes to so it should be pretty easy for you.

Go with the accountant's address if he/she will let you.
