tl;dr: What rates are you getting from DPD local for 15 parcels a week. (before 12pm parcels under 10kg).
I used to have a DPD account before the pandemic, we're a low volume user. We're an AV events company and majority of our orders are in and around London so we deliver ourselves. We have small orders from outside London which we send via courier.
We need a DPD account because it's easy for us to organise 3rd party collection. From customer back to us. I know you can send via DPD without account, but you can't do 3rd party collections this way. Also wirth an account. I can print my own label and drop off the package to the DPD warehouse before 7pm. You can't do that without an account.
Without an account - customer has to organise the courier themselves.
Due to covid inactivity, DPD put a stop on our account. When we tried to re-activate they told us that we need minimum 15 packages per week to have an account with them.
Just wonder what sort of rates are you getting for 15 package a week account? We used to pay around £11 a package, plus fuel supplement if it was really far away.
I don't have a clue what the rates are for 15 packages a week. If it's £8 or less. I can just find paint tubs and other trade stuff to sell on ebay just to get 15 packages a week out my door to have an account. I really need a DPD account. I'm pretty sure I can just source OEM antifreeze abd engine oil from VW/vauxhall and sell them on ebay.
