Can anyone recommend a low cost courier for delivery of food boxes?

Myhermes are cheap but be careful we have had parcels go missing and it takes about 5 days for them to arrive. If your on a budget take a look if not pay more for a better service.

What size and weight? You can do a lot worse than Royal Mail under 2kg.

I looked at that site. I got a quote and it was less than the Royal Mail, "excluding pickup and delivery" !!!! Without pickup and delivery what point is there having a courier?

That one of those locker-on-a-petrol-station-forecourt type of services? They're cheaper than a traditional courier but I personally wouldn't use them in a professional capacity, don't think it looks good.

Try the UPS drop in service if you fancy a cracking rate, next day delivery possibly starting from under £1.20!

Drop the parcel into a nearby newsagent, client can collect from a local store, most open til at least 8pm most nights, so no waiting in or around for the courier, will suit some but not all.

The lifestylecouriers.com price is for delivery, you then choose the collection method (courier collecting from you or taking your parcel to a local shop). Its delivery to your customers home at a rate that is often cheaper than other solutions, especially if you are sending several parcels, a parcel over 15kg or a foreign parcel).

If you click on the buy this service button, it takes you to a data entry form, on filling in the form as you go through it will show on a map several nearby drop off points, and the same for collection points near the delivery address. Obviosly your client will need to agree, so it will not be suitable for everyone, but several threads on the forum over the years have mentioned it would be useful to have such a service, this one has the backing of UPS so the service should live up to it's 24/48hr claims.
