Lost control of my Facebook business page when trying to link it to Instagram.

Hi all,

I was on my Fb business page when I clicked on "link to Instagram". I followed a few steps until I got to a page that said that it couldn't be done becase I don't have the controls and I needed to do I-don't-know-what.

When I went back a few steps, it turns out this Fb page has disappeared from the list of pages I own and manage (3 total). The page is still visible, I just can't do anything with it. All my rights are gone.

Can anyone help? What's happened? Nothing got accepted nor finished during the linking process.

Your best be is going to be contacting Facebook/Meta on this issue.

If you've been disconnected from it then it'll be FB that can put you back on unless you have another admin on the page.

Thank you Chris. I cannot find facebook/meta's contact details anywhere. All I've seen is FAQ's. This is why I posted it here, to see if anyone had this experience before or had any guidance.

A friend sent me this link from when she had issues with access to her account.

Not sure if it will help in your situation, but it's a starting point. I tends to be a long drawn out process to get to speak to a person at Meta.

Hi Chris, it seems that the page is now under my control!! It now appears under my "pages". Magic! Thank you for your help. Oh, that link showed that I don't have any pages I'm admin of. Weird!!

Sounds like Meta have a "design feature" or Bug to the rest of us in their system!

Glad it sorted itself, somehow.
