Flight to China then or contact a company who finds companies for you but adds more expense. Alibaba would me most peoples choice of finding potential companies and then filtering them down to a sensible selection with whom you can then do due diligence on

Then google and filter out the companies who list on Alibaba.

May be rather restricting.

Or if there are clothing trade events for manufacturers to display their wares then you could maybe find a sock manufacturer there.

Do your order quantities allow you to buy directly from a sock manufacturer?

If not, look at stockists either in China or UK for convenience.

It all depends on your order quantities and design requirements.
