Hi there,

Been a member here for a little while and found it very useful and very interesting.

Anyway I'm looking for 'sales agents' in the UK. Mainly due to the fact that in the area I am in most of my time is spent with existing customers and our exhibition in New York soon.

Looking to get some sales agents in all areas of the UK, to sell our art prints which have done really well in gift stores and also our address book which has done well in stationary stores and gift shops.

Looking to build an open honest relationship based on a generous commission package if theres any on here PM me or leave a message or if anyone knows anyone.

I read your message here today, hope you get people for that, as we too are looking for agents to sell our products in most parts of the UK.
We must say here that the jobs are only commission based but quite a good rate on sales can be had if the people can sell it.

It is odd that we keep being told that 1000s are out of work these days, yet it is hard to find people who can sell, so lets hope we both get some feedback on this. I have had adverts in papers, Shop windows etc over the last 6 months and not a reply as yet to these jobs.

I do believe there are many freelance sales agents out there. I do know from experience that to be a great sales agent you have to have a firm belief in the product you are selling and need to be passionate about it. This is of course only my own opinion but unless I fully understand, firmly believe in and have faith in the product/service coupled with a great elevator pitch/script I will not produce great results. But as long as i do have faith in what I am selling and also have a good prospect list I can work miracles. saying this I do not class my self as a sales person but I do generate great sales leads for the sales force to follow up.

Had a pretty good response havn't put any huge timeline on it willing to give the agent exclusivity of a certain area they operate in as I know some don't want to travel a long way which makes sense

I am trying to build my teams in the Ashford,Kent and the Bournemouth areas but I'm struggling to find the right candidates. Its a mixture of door to door, concession stand and referrals and therefore needs a self-motivated and driven type of sales agent. Could anyone suggest where I could find these types of individuals. The agency pays the best commissions out there so it should in theory be quite simple... £40 per Broadband is good money..

I built a team of 500 full time guys back in the early days of Gas and Electric de-regulation, and the best method by far was paying the existing guys a on going commission for new recruits, since most door knockers know each other.

So for every £10 the new agent earns I would offer a £1 overide for as long as they remained in the agency, some guys were earning as much from their overides as their own sales. Word soon gets around, apart from that simply approach other teams when you see them.

I can drive down a road and spot a door knocker or canvesser from a 100yds, and used to pull up beside them and try too recruit them at the edge of the road.

Best of luck, it's getting much harder these days with so much negative press on door to door sales and many areas making door selling illegal.

Good luck ... trying to find the right Agent is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack

The above web site will also give you some good tips and pointers ... make sure you have a good contract drawn up too ... Agents have lots of rights and they bluddy well know them too

Also if you get on well with any of your existing outlets why not ask them whether they can recommend any Agent that already visits them for other products you could always offer them an incentive such as a free order.

If you have a website you could always advertise on that too.
