Just to give a bit of background of what we are doing and why im trying to find a decent costume hire place.

It's 99.9% certain that we are going to go ahead with a production run of a range of underwear that will be exclusive to us for several years so it's time we did something special and get all our PR and marketing done properly.
I've already got in my mind the image that I want to use for our online and offline adverts.

Plan is rather than do the photography myself which i normally do we've got a pro photographer set up and will do a proper shoot , get a videographer in as well to video the shoot and go from the beginning of the shoot all the way to the end of the finished advert to show how the final image was created.

Problem im finding is that I need to find costumes for different kinds of Angels and the results im getting from google are your average party shop kind of costumes which look a bit naff, im looking for full open wing feather wings kind of thing.

We could just shoot and add them digitally in later but i'd rather do it the old fashioned way.

Can anyone recommend anywhere? it would probably be somewhere more used to hires for TV or film.

There is a good place with old film/TV costumes at the Hop Farm in Kent - I once hired the Indian Squaw's costume from the Gladiator film, can't remember the character's name and we have had Mexican outfits from there too - everything is authentic. I can't remember the name of the place but if you give these people a ring, www.yewtreetheatreschool.co.uk they should be able to give you the number as there is a connection between the two business. I couldn't find it by googling Hop Farm costume hire.

As someone who has previously worked on tv productions, the name that I've heard bandied about the most is Angels the costumiers in London. If you google them you should be able to find them easily enough. Although, whether they stock angel costumes I'm not sure (they should with that name, really) as I've mainly dealt with period stuff, and could be quite pricey, but might be worth looking them up.

I believe they are in Shaftesbury Avenue but only deal with the real top end stuff for the theatre etc.
