Looking for Barcode stock management with SAGE 50

Hi - we use Sage 50 accounts for our business and it seems to work very well for us and for our particular business.

We sell specialist photographic consumables. The problem we have is that we pick goods manually and this is prone to mi-picking errors. With the best will in the world, it cant be helped and when it happens it's very costly.

Can anyone recommend some sort of add on system / software that will work with sage 50 that will mean we can scan barcodes in the warehouse for each order?

First thing you need to consider is getting your inventory barcoded. You may be able to use existing retail barcodes, but to make it work all inventory will need to be identified with a barcode label.

Then you can look at a mobile data collection terminal which can be used to scan barcode labels as items are being picked. This would then be uploaded back to Sage.
