Looking for an accountant in the North East

I am looking recommendations for an accountant, preferrably in the North East of England, who would be able to provide me with a letter confirming my accounts in order to gain a mortgage.

If anyone has any contacts please pass them on.

If you are looking for an accountant just to give you a letter to the mortgage company I think you will struggle. an accountant will only sign of something that he has a reasonable knowledge of so it would mean they would have to produce your accounts or the equivalent amount of work to produce that letter.

You would be better off in that case finding a self cert mortgage provider who does not require an accountants verification

My plan was to produce my accounts. I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

We are also looking into self cert as well. (my boyfriend is in financial services so I'm just doing what I'm told!) I think he is trying to get the best possible interest rate.

At the end of the day I will need a decent accountant up here eventually so this could be the start of a wonderful relationship!
