Looking for a partner in London

The London Baron

Hello I am thinking about opening a fast food chain in London but don't have the money. We will start from one restaurant and try to reach our target of opening 10 restaurants by the summer of 2012. I have a spreadsheet with all the cost involved but need an initial investment of £50 000. The £50 000 will give you 30% of the business.

For more details please contact me on:

Edited by Mod<<<Removed contact details as never a good idea to post in public>>>

No timewasters! This is a great business opportunity for the right person. The equity is not negotiable!!!

Pm-ing is for amateurs that are scared to have real one on one contact with people... RobCCTV, you shouldn't pop your pimples they will eventually go away.

Well it would seem that as you are so easily upset by a few text messages.

It would seem like you need some sort of protection from the riff raff that inhabit the airways.

Have you thought of taking up Yoga.?

Dude, if you haven't got the money, then start something smaller scale with the money you have got ( I presume you already have £115k or so in place judging by your offer of 30% for 50k). start small and build big.. then one day you can live the dream and own that fast food outlet you're so desperate for.

STOP IT YOU IGNORANT PIECE OF ****

Maybe it's the guy you called boring on another post?

Fair do's I called him boring as well, he was boring.

I believe the school boy error was to call him boring and then post your number on the same forum

Needless to say my 30k will not be coming your way, for fear you insult someone else then tell them which restaurant we own.

Fail.

Baron. This has to be a JOKE. You have NO MONEY but want to start - wait for it - a chain of fast food restaurants. That is not only amateur business thinking it is a schoolboy dream.

What is even more incredulous is that you are offering 30% of a spreadsheet. One which even if remotely viable a year ago is absolutely worthless now. restaurants are going bust by the hour and those that are surviving are run by owners/chefs.

Please go away then and come back when you have at least £50K in your own back pocket to gamble with but even then considering your attitude I doubt anyone would want to work with you. You have got ideas far beyond your station in life.

Baron my ar-e. More like cheeky little barrow boy- if you ask me.:D

Now now, don't be harsh.

I'm sure there is an angle to the business we are not aware of, one that will make it a certain success!

Unfortunately the OP will no doubt consider the 'secret ingredient' so unique and secrative that no one can know about it before handing over £30k.

So no one will :D

I'm going to book mark this post now, I'll bring it up in a year and post that number again - you can call him and ask how business is going...

You say you are only thinking but already have the numbers with no apparent business plan or market research !!!!!!!!!

You then put your number on public forum after posting only 6 posts and complain about a text If you had been in business for a good while this would not be bothering you

You then have the nerve to insult those of us running businesses and actully operating in the businessworld by insulting the way we converse among one another as members of this site .You had better take note old son .We do PM each other but we know what we are talking about !We are running businesses and it makes you look a complete fool when you insult us this way !!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think you know the first thing about business but if they keep making programmes like Dagons Den and the Apprentice normal business people will always be harrassed by dreamers like you

OH MY GOD, this forum is full of insecure freaks. I have a high B at A level Business! I know I lot about the business world and the economic crisis!

I am offering 30% for 50K and I am retaining 70% because the idea is mine and I am the mastermind of the operation. You do not know anything about equity! I need a partner just for the money, otherwise I have what it takes to become rich. The reastuarants will have ads on the windows and the big companies such as Nike and etc would pay big money to have the ads on display for the thousands of people walking down the street. I would not discuss the business further for the obvious reasons of copycats. The partner will need to sign something first and then I will let him/her into the detailed plan of the business.

You may laugh but let see who will laugh last

A second class B in business studies. Well aint you a genius. No wonder you came up with the idea of loss making restarants making a profit for you from avertsising revevue coming from windows on back street restaurants - and at a time when advertising budgets on television are being cut by over er 50% which reach millions of people.

Get real.or pray tell me pray tell OP - what planet are you living on. Actually don't bother. You are a waste of my good time. Other than to remind members that we are back in the silly season again when the children are back at their school computers again trying to wind us up. Even in junior school as seems to be the case here.

    What the?

Qualifications count for absolutely nothing. A person with a proven track record of failing one business after another could quite easily sit and pass A level business exams providing they were adept at learning. It still wouldn't make them any better performing as a business person!

Its ludicrous to claim that people on here have no understanding of equity. People on here run established businesses! Calculating equity is more simple than calculating VAT! What could a person possibly not understand?

As for advertising Nike in a resyurant window, as if. Come on!! When I'm in a resturant I want my entire experience to be food focussed. I go inside an eatery to escape the high street - i'll be buggered if I go in to one and the adverts follow me inside.

In truth we don't know the ins and outs of your business plan. It may be spot on and you may be rich in 2 years time. But even if that were the case you cannot come on here and expect to be taken seriously by asking for investment for 'restaurants' alone. If there is something unique about your idea you have failed to educate anyone as to what it might be.

You have also bought unrequired churlishness and attitude to the forum. For that reason alone, no sane person would want to be involved with a business you were managing. Even if it were potentially the best business in the world.

If its not crystal clear already, what I am saying is it's irrelavent how much the business could be worth. YOU detract value from the business, you prove as much by naffing up your request for investment on here.

Surely this is a joke? A 'high B' at A-level business studies? Dear me... At least it proves you're young though which makes a lot of sense.

The rest of the post is just... Well, everyone else has already said it.

You may laugh but let see who will laugh last

I can say hand on heart the OP is the first person I have heard quote specific qualification on these forums.

The rest of us have probably forgotten how close to a B we did or didn't get. We were to busy building something called a 'real business'.

I myself left school at 14 - with not one single qualification. And even I know not to advertise sports gear in a chain of restaurants!

WHY DON'T YOU ALL SHUT THE **** UP AND LET THE REAL BUSINESS PEOPLE ON HERE MAKE ME OFFERS? You obviously here just to waste time, there was just 1 person who asked me about the business all the other posts are rubbish!

The qualification that I have at least means that I have a good knowledge how the business world operates. My uncle has a business so I am pretty damn sure I have more contacts than you in London ;)

My age is of no concern for you, but it is better to be young and successful than old and grumpy.

Now no more stupid jokes please and leave for the normal people without mental issues...

Not that I think you are.Just a bit of advice from someone a tad more experienced than your goodself.

    Hilarious.

Sorry to pop your bubble buddy but you aren't going to get far in business for a very, very, very long time, if it all with that attitude.

I think if you looked back at this thread in 5 years time, you would really cringe.

To be clear I'm not responding becasue I want to make you an offer, although I am a real 'business person'. I'm responding because you are hilarious.

The qualification you have means you have a idea of how the business world may opearat on any given average day. Unfortunately that average day never exists outside of theory based excercises. Business is way to diverse to be taught. In the time it took you to prepare for the exam the entire business world has changed entirely.

I'm not saying there is no benefit from your qualification - what I am saying is it in no way makes you any more likely to succeed running a business. It could very well (and apparently has done) give you unfounded confidence in your ability to make realistic decisions.

Your uncle may have a contacts in London, but we all have contacts in London! goto www.aquaticimpact.co.uk thats me, check out the client list. I have amazing contacts all over the world! People I have sat a drunk wine with until 4am. These are people I swap ideas and opportunities with all the time.

I'm currently working for one of David Cameron's closest allies in the business world as it happens.

And do you know what? Non of my contacts make ME a better business person. No qualification could either. Being realistic makes a difference, as does experience gained along the way.

I have no mental issues, and I am NOT normal. I am however a proven business mind, I too am young, I have failed (bankrupt), I have picked myself up and grown stronger - and at a faster rate.

Is non of that of interest to you? Are you so sure my initial comments in this thread were worth ignoring?

Take my advice. If you really do believe, beyond fantasy, that you have an idea for a good business, then share it.

Tell us why advertising sports gear in a restaurant CAN work and WHY it's not crazy. There must be a reason. If you're good then show it. why would you not?

And please stop swearing. Believe it or not I don't want to see you banned before you have been figured out.

I genuinly hope you take an about turn and come back with something tangible.

Wow! I didn't realize he'd started another thread - just finished reading the one about a website he's after - I'm soooo glad he's joined the forum, brightened up my day!

I love the fact that he's got a B at A Level Business Studies- good on ya... but why didn't he get the A (A level - apt for this thread I think lol)

Shame that the business studies syllabus teaches next to nothing about the daily running of a business... sorry, I forgot that he's planning on toppling the big M so more like a conglomerate lol. In fact the initials of the course is a great descriptor for its content! So I very much doubt he has a good grounding in the way the business world works.

I give him one thing though... he has ambition which is great. Pity that's shrouded in delusion and arrogance. Please, please, please apply to dragons den, I'm sure they would love to stump up the money and invest in you!

PS - Why hasn't your uncle invested- surly he would jump at the chance with all his contacts ready to invest too!

My uncle has contacts in London but I they weren't interested in this type of business... He doesn't want to put the money because he is not sure if it is going to work, and this is why I am asking for the money from a stranger so there is no hard feelings if something goes wrong. BUT I AM SURE that the business model will be a sucess. Ok I will undercover a small amount of the ways in which I will make sure it is a sucess:
    1. No fast food chain gives a discount card. I will make something similar to the Tesco cards and then give them points for each £ spent.
    2. I will have ads on the windows and the walls, it woudn't be a problem for the people that eat and even if it is I rather loose couple of dozens of customers than thousands of pounds.
    3. I will be selling also souvenirs, because London is full of tourists. So I will be selling keyrings, etc near the toilets.
    4. I will have stuff to buy in the lavatory such as condoms, tissue and golden root complex.
    5. I will have a clown in each store which will bring kids with their family...
    6. If you have seen in london there are people holding wooden boards with signs saying something like "Mcdonalds 10 meters". To save money I will not hire "stick holders" but will tape the boards to the near walls...

I have many more ideas but cannot put it all on the table. The person who gives me a deposit of at least £5000 will be given my spreadsheet and my word document
