Hi all,

Im in search for a business partner, someone ideally who has experience with e-commerce platforms.

I will be looking at a 70/30 split with me taking the 30%.

The main reason and why, is as a developer I have developed an e-commerce platform unlike others, this one is almost fully automated. With e-commerce systems there is a lot of work involved getting set up, getting started and maintaining but with my new platform you can be set up within hours with over 3000 products (if you have that many) and has very little product/category maintenance, my system uses just 2 CSV files which are constantly updated via the e-commerce system.

I have no experience with running an e-commerce platform, so looking for someone to run the site whilst I keep on updating the system until the store is fully automated - the store is fully live at the moment and has around 1500 products already on the site with all products set at a 50% profit which is the RRP for the products.

The website automatically updates the stock, images, featured products, and does automatically post to social media pages with products.

I have very little experience with running an e-commerce system but have 10+ years with development and coding so I need someone to help run the site and guide me in the right direction.

If you have any questions please let me know and il try my best to answer without giving to much information away about my system.

If I've posted in the wrong thread please feel free to move this to the right place.

Thank you.

What precaution do you propose to prevent the majority partner - presumably shareholder - voting you out of the company as soon as he has got hold of the intellectual property that you have created?

You have a point, but I would be only splitting the e-commerce business, its an already formed company that is currently dormant - My wife us to have a retail shop but unfortunately she had to give it up, I have my own company that has developed the software that is separate from the e-commerce company, I've just used the e-commerce business as a tester so I can build/test the software.
