You haven't said what the app will do. As you are posting in the ecommerce section will this be an app where customers can purchase goods from you.

If so, I would advise you spend your money on a good responsive website instead of an app. Unless you are a large brand / retail outlet I can't see many people downloading and installing an app just to buy from you.

Yep, as above post more info about the app. Depending on what it needs to do, it might be worth using PhoneGap so it can be written once and still run on both iOS and Android.

I would also recommend getting a responsive website which will cost somewhere around 400 GBP both for Android and Apple. Whereas, an App will shred off 1500 GBP for each of Android and Apple app.
