logo design

anything from £100 to £600 depending on the amount of time you need from your designer (and of course how big their overheads are ;o) i.e. how many changes and amendments you ask of them) and even more if you require a set of brand guidelines outlining use of logo, colours fonts etc.

We often ask if a client needs anything else, info leaflets, website etc. and include logo design in those costs - ie if we can do a £300 leaflet we will include some work on a logo. I'm sure other designers would be open to this suggestion.

please don't try 25poundlogo.co.uk from what I saw it's overpriced and where is the support when it comes to any brand identity and use of your logo.
DesignTaylor and Eagle's work look good I'd look at it for you if you like - loads of good creatives around and at sensible prices it's why Hienz sell more than own brand, they will feed you but taste ****

Might be worth taking a look at www.designoutpost.com. Basically, you post details of your logo project, along with the price you're willing to pay, and various designers spend a few days working on different designs for you to chose from.

We found that it worked very well for us, but you do need to be very clear about what you want, and engage with the designers as they work. If you're indecisive by nature, the good designers will ignore you, and you'll end up with a less than perfect result.

Its not what the cost is for a finished logo, but the whole cost for the process in developing your logo. Great designers will discuss the needs of the business and its relationship with what it does and how it opporates and with what you want it to achieve. Pretty logos are all well and good, but with a bit of research and a decent design brief you will get something that looks good in any situation. You may get several variations of the same logo, if for example you intend to advertise in a number of publications which have different set ups in the colours they use.

Sorry for bringing up this old chestnut, but as Mark says in his post, (i know his comments are about using his services=which are excellent I hear) but can you afford not to use a properly trained designer.
