local marketing ideas for 3d casting baby business

my business has been only going a few months but I still need some more ideas to market my business locally, apart from the internet, offering 3d baby casts of hands, feet etc. Ive come up with giving out leaflets(or leaving some if possible) at play baby/toddler cafes and childrens wear shops, possibly going to do some casting at baby toddler groups, although not sure how that would work with payment.
have thought adverts in mother baby mags would be a waste of money as they are uk wide not covered by area. im not sure how to target a lot of young babies ( unlikely if the local hospital would let me put leaflets in the ante natal unit?) and where to put more leaflets/business cards etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Try and find a way of getting noticed and like by them. Its mumsnet by the way, not netmums.

You might want to try a pop up stand in your local shopping centre giving out leaflets with examples on display for a short period. We have handled calls for similar promotions before and the phones always seem quite busy after potential customers have gone away and considered the unique nature of your offering.

What about getting a story in your local rag, "New business" and offer a prize give away. You could also contact local baby shops, and offer them commission on each sale they make. You could have some gift cards printed off, put them in the shops, and for each they sell they get a percentage.

Or offer to do it for local nurseries and mother and toddler groups on a slpit profits basis.

You could give a percentage to them or charity, or link to an event like mother's day. If it is cast in a frame that recognises the special day/event all the better.
